Can I connect my Trezor Hardware Wallet to my iPhone?

In the smartphone era where literally everyone has a smartphone and a lot of people don’t use computers anymore, it’s absolutely essential for hardware wallets to have mobile support for them to be able to reach as much of the masses as possible.

Answer

Unfortunately, both the Trezor Model T and the Trezor One currently don’t have the feature of connecting to an iPhone. On the other hand, you can connect both the Trezor Model T and the Trezor One to an Android phone using an Android OTG cable.

An alternative

If you really wanted a hardware wallet that could connect to your iPhone or iPad, you can opt for a Ledger Nano X instead, which also supports connecting to any smartphone wirelessly through Bluetooth connectivity.

Note: The cheaper and more affordable Ledger Nano S can’t connect to an iPhone as well, but can connect to an Android phone, also through an Android OTG cable.

Final thoughts

If you have a Trezor hardware wallet with an iPhone and you’re not willing to spend money for a new hardware wallet just yet, I’m afraid you’re stuck with using your Trezor with a computer. As your only options are to buy a Ledger Nano X, or buy a cheap Android device for your Trezor to connect to. (the former obviously significantly cheaper than the latter.)
